Knipex primarily manufactures the forged and oil-hardened snipe nose side cutting pliers for gripping, alignment and installation work. They deliver a second function in these areas that is important for assembly work. Their cutting edges are shaped to produce a bite type cut.

The cutters are additionally induction hardened, so that the Knipex 26 12 200 is even suitable for cutting hard wire. Thanks to the induction hardening of the cutting edges to approx. 61 HRC, cutting capacities of up to 2.2 Ø mm are produced on hard wire.
